A: ALWAYS GIVE THE ATTENTION SIGNAL IF YOU NEED HELP.
M: YOUR MOVEMENT IS WALKING NOT RUNNING.
P: GET PREPARED EITHER TO DO WORK OR GET READY FOR SOMETHING LIKE THE END OF THE DAY.
S: SIT DOWN IN A SPOT, A CHAIR, OR TABLE.
EXPECTATIONS FOR TRANSITIONS BETWEEN CLASSES:
C: Chat softly. Noise level at 0 or 1
H: Hear the Bell? 3 Minutes To Yourselves
A: Attend on getting your books for the next period as directed by your teacher.
M: Move around but at a minimum. Stretch, jog in place, etc.. but no “craziness”.
P: Positivity, Stay Positive!
S: Signals. Hear the bell? The class has started again!
HALLWAY
C: Chat level is at ZERO outside in the hallway.
H: Raise your hand for help.
A: Transition Time. You are quiet. Get your bags. Prepare to go home.
M: WALK!
P: When you are moving or walking you are quiet. You are walking directly behind the person in front of you. You are holding the rail to go downstairs. You are following a teacher’s direction to go into a room, get into your seats, etc..
S: Obey attention signal

C: Come in, get yourself ready for your day. Check out your schedule, Check on making sure you have all of your things, etc..
H: Hand in any work to Mr. Dougherty, or notes, or anything related to school that is needed or requested. Yet, this is NOT the time to “HANG” with Mr. D.
A: Attend to your morning work. Write in your journal, draw, or read. Wait for announcements.
M: Movement is limited to your area.
P: Pay attention to the teacher if they have messages. Pay attention to announcements as they come on. Pay attention to prayer. PAY ATTENTION!
S: Stay positive! Start your day on a good note.

With about twenty minutes left in our day, we will get ready for the end of school.

Pick a spot in the classroom and take your planner. Make sure you have all of your HW listed correctly, write down a question you have or had about today’s lessons, just do a “Personal Inventory” . Share it with me, have me sign your assignment pad, and you MUST shake my hand before we leave.

Mr. Dougherty will tell you to get ready either in a certain way for example: “All boys!” “All the girls!” “All students with brown hair!”

This is NOT a time to start talking with friends.

Go back to your desk and get yourself prepared. Wait for announcements.

Just like the morning, LISTEN to after school announcements.
HALLWAY PROCEDURES
-
For specials and other breaks we will get ready the following way:
-Boys will line up on one side of the room and girls the other for BATHROOM BREAKS.
-Specials: We will line up outside the classroom along the wall. Mr. Dougherty WILL EXPECT that you are in line within 10-15 seconds, quiet, and ready to go. Wait for Mr. Dougherty to tell you how to line up. YOU WILL WAIT until Mr. Dougherty comes out to take you down, and pick you up.
-ABSOLUTE SILENCE all the way down and all the way back from a special.
