Library 

The goal of the All Saints Catholic School Library program is to foster the skills necessary for each student to become an effective user of information in a wide variety of formats for both educational and personal growth. 

Students will utilize the Library Media Center print collections at school, which include a variety of fiction and nonfiction of varying reading and interest levels.

Students will have access to technology in the Library Media Center, in the form of Internet-connected laptops and iPads.

This course work is aligned with following Common Core Learning Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy:

Student Outcomes:

Through this course, students will:

  1. Learn to properly care for library books.
  2. Navigate the Library Media Center’s fiction section, by learning the alphabetical organization of the books.
  3. Recognize the parts of a book, including author, illustrator, cover, spine, and dedication.
  4. Appreciate children’s literature by studying the life and works of a particular author or illustrator.
  5. Recognize the characteristics of different genres and read widely within these genres.

Library Rules

  1. Always use a whisper in the library.
  2. Always have clean hands when handling books.
  3. Return books promptly.
  4. Don't feed or give the books anything to drink!
