Dear Parents,
Just a quick reminder that the children will be off tomorrow. We will be in meetings tomorrow with the Diocese.
Baptism Project Details:
We began the chapter today on Baptism and being welcomed into the Church family.
To coincide with the chapter in our Religion book, the Baptism project went home today with the children. Please talk to the children about their Baptism and have them write the information in their best handwriting. The second page is for pictures.
If your child was not Baptized, then please let me know and they will be excused from the project.
They will be receiving a Religion grade for this assignment. These will be hanging outside in the hallway for everyone to enjoy.
The Baptism Project is due next Wednesday, April 3rd.
If they finish them early, then they can bring them to school. I look forward to seeing the children's Baptism pictures. The project will be sent home when we are finished displaying them.
Enjoy your day off!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email at anytime.
Have a great evening,

Dear Parents,
The 100 Day Projects were fantastic! The school is enjoying them: they are being displayed outside of Mrs. Smith’s classroom. There was not any room outside of our classroom! If you did not send it in yet, please send it in this week!
If you have the shoe tieing pack, please return them on Wednesdays, so they can be sent home for more families to practice.
· The children will continue to work on their sight words and sounding out their letters. They are so excited when they spot the words in books! The children will continue to review and practice uppercase letters. We will continue to work on letter formations and practice writing names.
· We are reading Hooway for Wodney Wat and Valentine books.
· In Math, the children will continue to work on subtraction!
· The children will continue to learn that God loves our friends. They will also learn about Jesus and his family when Jesus was a child. The children will learn about St. Valentine.
· Science & SS: We will talk about winter, weather, Valentine’s Day and President’s Day!
Some quick reminders:
· Please continue to review your child’s address and phone number with them. I will continue to check them in the future. It is important for them to know the details in case of an emergency.
· Unfortunately, so many children do not know how to tie their shoes due to the convenience of Velcro and slip on shoes. It is still considered an important achievement for children to learn. So, I will be sending home shoe tie packets during the week to a few children at a time to practice at home. Please include that in your homework time. Our families that are practicing, should return the bags and books on Wednesdays, so they can be sent to new families. Thank you!
· The children are not permitted to bring toys to school. I do not want them upset if they break or become lost. Please check their school bags! Thank you for understanding!
· The children should not be wearing sneakers with their regular uniform. Please wear school shoes and only wear sneakers on gym day or dress down days. Thank you.
· We have 3 birthdays in February: If you wish to send in treats, please feel free to do so.
Important Upcoming Dates:
Thursday, February 14th: Valentine Cards: We will make mailboxes in school. Please do not send the cards into school until the 14th. The class list of names is at the bottom of this email!
Friday, February 15th: Professional Development Day for Teachers. The students are off.
Monday, February 18th: Presidents’ Day: School Holiday
As always, please send me an email at anytime with any questions or concerns. Enjoy your day!
Thank you,
Mrs. Hughes

Hello, Kindergarten Parents!
I am so excited to start teaching your children at All Saints Catholic School! The Kindergarten classroom is almost ready for the children to attend school on Tuesday, September 4th for a half day! Check the supply page for some updates. Bring a snack each day. Also, pack a lunch for Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday as well. I will send an email home each weekend for the upcoming week's news starting on the weekend of September 7th and then a paper copy of it on that Monday. There will be a monthly calendar sent home too with important classroom reminders. Homework will be assigned nightly. If your child is a little nervous about starting school, you can include a small picture of your family in a Ziploc bag in his/her backpack for safekeeping. They can look at it during the day if they are feeling a little homesick. They will adjust to Kindergarten soon. Your child is going to learn so much this year and have so much fun! I look forward to meeting everyone next week! If you have any questions or wish to share some concerns, then please email me at anytime. Enjoy the remaining days of summer!
Thank you,
Mrs. Hughes
